Customer Spotlight: I Love My Fro

As we continue on with our customer spotlight posts we are trying to feature customers that create and sell all types of different products. Today we feature a company that makes hair care products. The company is called I Love My Fro, which was started, and is run by Harmony Knight. The brand is based out of NYC and was started as more than just a hair care product business, it is a complete hair care resource for natural hair. Harmony spends time creating videos and other resources to help educate African-American women on how to take care of their hair the natural way, and to look fabulous while doing it. On the I Love My Fro website you will see how Harmony herself describes the company: “ILoveMyFro was created to help my fellow sisters on their natural hair journey to avoid the pitfalls, gain the confidence and lose the "good hair" mentality!” Harmony is very passionate about her natural hair and her all natural products, so wants to show other women how to get their hair looking the best it can. She offers educational YouTube videos that are meant to help other women learn the best strategies to take care of their hair the all-natural way. Harmony also does many events throughout the NYC region, the Harmony Speaks page on the site lists out these events.

I Love My Fro Products

The I Love My Fro line of hair care products are all handmade. The ingredients used to make the products are all natural and are full of moisturizing and nutrient-packed ingredients. The current product line that can be found on the website, includes 7 all natural, handmade products. The current product offering includes the following: Shea Butter Whip-Water Based Moisturizer, Curly Kinky Coily Cream Gel, Black Tea Leave In, Avocado Oil, Hass Avocado Deep Treatment, and African Black Soap. There is also a travel/sample kit, and there is an option to have your order gift wrapped.

The Unboxing Experience

Packaging is more than just a box these days, and unboxing a new product can be, and should be, an exciting experience. Harmony does an amazing job with the packaging of her products for all of her customers. When we received the package from I Love My Fro we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the box. The first thing that we saw during the unboxing was the leopard print tissue paper that the product was wrapped and padded with. When we removed the container of Shea Butter Moisturizer the label stood right out with its vivid artwork.
